World sustainability transport day is celebrated on 26th November. The UN General Assembly (UNGA) declared the Day in recognition of the important role of safe, affordable, accessible, and sustainable transport systems for all in supporting sustainable economic growth, improving the social welfare of people, and enhancing international cooperation and trade among countries.The goal of sustainable transportation is to ensure that environment, social and economic considerations are factored into decisions affecting transportation activity.
