Addressing the challenges of hunger requires a multifaceted approach that includes economic, environmental, and social strategies . According to the UN food and agriculture organization, nearly 690 million people are undernourished globally , a number that has been increasing in recent years . This trend is exacerbated by conflicts , climate change , economic and now covid 19 . Hunger is not just a matter of food scarcity .
