Zero hunger is not just a goal it's a human right. Adopted as the second of the United nations 17 sustainable development goal , Zero hunger aims to end hunger , achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture by 2030. Despite progress in various regions , the world remains far from achieving this goal . Addressing the challenges of hunger requires a multifaceted approach that includes economic, environmental, and social strategies . Hunger is one of the most significant challenges facing humanity today. According to the UN food and agriculture organization, nearly 690 million people are undernourished globally , a number that has been increasing in recent years . This trend is exacerbated by conflicts , climate change , economic and now covid 19 . Hunger is not just a matter of food scarcity . It is also about the lack of access to nutritious food and the means to produce or purchase it . In conclusion Zero hunger is not an unattainable dream but a realistic goal that requires urgent and sustainable action
