This artwork is an example of geometric tessellation – a repeating pattern made using shapes that fit perfectly together without any gaps or overlaps.
The design shown here uses rhombuses (diamond shapes) in shades of pink and purple. Each shape connects precisely with its neighbors, creating a visually pleasing, symmetrical pattern.
Tessellations are not just beautiful; they are also used in architecture, tiling, and even nature – like in honeycombs or snake scales.
This project helped me understand how math and art can come together to form something creative and structured.
