JAVELIN THROW

The lines in javelin throw refer to the markings on the field that define the throwing area and landing sector. These lines are crucial for ensuring fair and accurate competition. The lines define the runway, throwing arc, and landing sector, each playing a role in the thrower's approach, release, and measurement of the throw. In this activity, participants start from a side on position and use a 5-step run up and throw a javelin as far as possible into the throwing area. sngine_9acc3cd1087dfab5f0891a3750fc2151.pngParticipants should remember to keep their throwing arm extended at shoulder height and as long as possible during the throw. This 5 step javelin ball throw teaches the athlete a rhythm of a 5 step throw. There should be a 1-2-3-4-5 rhythm and then firing from the ground up, bending at the knee, the hip, and then the arm.
