International Mother Language Day, celebrated annually on February 21st, is a day dedicated to promoting awareness and preservation of linguistic and cultural diversity around the world, highlighting the importance of multilingualism and protecting all languages spoken by different communities; it was initiated by Bangladesh and recognized by UNESCO.
