The snow leapord is a large, elusive and solitary cat native to the high altitude mountains of central and south Asia.
Because of their incredible natural camaflouge, rendering them almost invisible in the surroundings, they are also called the 'ghosts of the mountains.'
Snow leapords live in the central mountain of Asia. While their habbitat covers 2 million km2 ( aproximately the size of Mexico itself), there are only between 3,920 to 6,390 left! They are endangered and will soon go extinct!
The world can not loose such beautiful creatures. That is why Jim Corbet National Park in India, Uttarakhand protects them. Hunting is also banned in India.
