Bolla's journey began with significant hurdles. Born visually impaired in a remote Indian village, he faced societal prejudice and limited educational opportunities. Despite these challenges, his parents, uneducated farmers, refused to abandon him and provided unwavering support.

His early schooling was fraught with difficulties. Lack of accessible learning materials and discrimination from peers created obstacles. However, Bolla excelled academically, demonstrating a strong aptitude for science.

Determined to pursue higher education, he filed a lawsuit against the Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, which initially denied him admission to the science stream. This legal battle, which he ultimately won, marked a turning point in his life. He went on to achieve exceptional academic results, securing 98% marks in his 12th-grade board exams.

This remarkable achievement earned him a scholarship to study at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he became the first visually impaired student to graduate with a degree in management science.

Upon returning to India, Bolla founded Bollant Industries, a social enterprise that provides employment opportunities to visually impaired and other differently-abled individuals while manufacturing eco-friendly and sustainable products.
