Objective:
Raise awareness and take small, actionable steps to support specific SDGs in daily life.
Steps:
-
Divide into Groups:
Split participants into groups, each representing one SDG (e.g., SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being or SDG 13: Climate Action). -
Research and Brainstorm:
Each group spends 20-30 minutes learning about their SDG and brainstorming one practical, local action they can take to support it. For example:- SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation – Organize a cleanup drive at a local waterbody.
- SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production – Conduct a "zero-waste day" campaign in school.
-
Create a Plan:
Groups outline how they will implement their action in real life. For instance, if the action is a cleanup drive, the plan might include gathering supplies, creating posters, and setting a schedule. -
Present the Idea:
Each group presents their SDG, what they learned, and their action plan to the rest of the participants. -
Take Action:
Over the next week or month, groups carry out their plans, document their progress with photos or journals, and share their outcomes. -
Reflection:
After completing the activity, discuss:- What challenges did they face?
- How did their actions impact the community?
- What could they do next to further support their SDG?
Materials Needed:
- Posters or digital slides for presentations
- Internet or books for research
- Basic supplies for the planned actions (if applicable)
