In the beauty of the land far a far,

There a lay in the sky a shining bright star,

Illuminating the sight I’d never seen,

As I set back and recall the days as a teen.

Soon came a memory and time stood still,

My heart beat faster and soon gave me chills,

I fell farther and farther, deep into darkness,

Never knew how to share or express my sadness.

Earlier than ever, tears ran down my cheeks,

As if it was a river, reminding me of the still and silent streets,

Pain was left as a scar in the memory,

And now there is left an unspoken story.
