The illegal hunting of rhinos for their horns is largely fuelled by the high market obtainable in Asia where horns are believed to offer medicinal benefits and as such, is a conservation management complication. Due to this, rhino populations have dwindled, leaving many subspecies on the verge of disappearing. Effective solutions against the poaching menace can include but are not limited to; tightening existing antipoaching laws, air surveillance of animal preserves and places of exogenous violent conflict through the use of drones and tracking systems. In order to scale down the use of rhino horns and foster wildlife protection, it is critical to involve and educate the community. Global action is also necessary to break trafficking rings.
STOP!!!! POACHING!!!!
