World Elephant Day will be celebrated on August 12th. 

World Elephant Day was co-founded on August 12, 2012 by Canadian Patrica Sims and the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation of Thailand, an initiative of HM Queen Sirikit of Thailand.

This date is marked on calendars worldwide as a time to honor elephants and spread awareness about the conservation efforts needed to protect them
