Natarajasana is a Sanskrit name in which 'Nata' means dancer, 'raja' means King and 'asana' means posture. Natarajasana is based on one of Lord Shiva's avatars, King Nataraja. Hence, Natarajasana is also called the Lord of the Dance pose yoga.
