I am often asked who my favourite artist is. The truth? Every single one of them. Each one who every tried. Who had the courage to create. Including you. You must have created a drawing of some sort at some point in time. But, even having the courage to put your pencil on the page is needed. It may not be as phenomenal as the Mona Lisa or The Scream, but it is still art. 

I am also asked, "What is art?" So, I sat and thought to myself, "What is art? The thing I am so passionate about? How can I know so little and so much of the same thing at the same time?"

Hence, I now write the definition of art as a vehicle for the expression or communication of emotions and ideas, a means for exploring and appreciating formal elements for their own sake.
