Akshay Urja Day on August 20, promotes the use of renewable energy in India. “Akshay” means inexhaustible, and that’s the kind of energy we need: solar, wind, and hydro power that doesn’t run out or run the planet down.

Today, students are the ones who’ll power India’s clean energy revolution. This day is a spark for green innovation, especially inside schools and homes.

GoSharpener Activity

GoSharpener organized an “Energy Switchover Week” where students shifted to natural lighting, turned off unused appliances, and learned how rooftop solar panels work. They calculated how much energy they saved and logged it into their Impact Profiles under their personal SustainabilityScore.

In art corners, children made posters about “Sun Power” and wrote essays on how India can become energy independent through renewables. Others tracked how green energy connects to reduced pollution and better health.

Why GoSharpener Is Different

While other campaigns stop at awareness, GoSharpener's sustainability ecosystem focuses on action and reflection. Students don’t just learn about clean energy, they live it, track it, and grow through it. It’s learning by doing, and changing by measuring.

GoSharpener is a platform creating India’s Best Personal Sustainability Score Platform for Gen Z. Just like marks show your study performance, your SustainabilityScore shows your climate commitment.
