World Cities Day on October 31 is a chance to look at the world we’re building, block by block. Cities are where ideas grow, but also where pollution, waste, and inequality gather if we’re not careful.
At GoSharpener, we use this day to help students reimagine their cities as green, inclusive, and future-ready spaces.
GoSharpener Activity
Students mapped their neighborhoods to identify ‘green gaps’, areas lacking trees, dustbins, or safe sidewalks. They created “City Improvement Posters” and presented mini-projects to school heads on sustainable city ideas, from rainwater harvesting to rooftop gardens.
Using Impact Profiles, students recorded actions such as planting trees on sidewalks, reporting civic issues through apps, and participating in waste cleanups in local parks.
This wasn’t just about dreaming of smart cities. It was about building them, one small step at a time.
Why GoSharpener Is Different
Other platforms talk about city planning. GoSharpener helps students become city changemakers. By connecting civic action with real-time sustainability scores, we empower students to lead better cities, not just live in them.
GoSharpener is a platform creating India’s No. 1 Personal Sustainability Score for Gen Z. Just like an academic score reflects marks in subjects and a credit score reflects financial health, the SustainabilityScore reflects eco-conscious behavior.
