1. Why Trees Are So Important

Trees do more than just look pretty—they help keep our planet healthy! Trees clean the air by taking in carbon dioxide and giving out oxygen. They also give homes to animals, help prevent floods, and cool the Earth by providing shade.

But every year, many forests are cut down for wood or to make room for buildings and farms. This is called deforestation, and it’s a big problem. Without enough trees, animals lose their homes, the air gets more polluted, and climate change gets worse.

We can help by planting trees, using less paper, and protecting forests around the world.
