Plastic is harmful for our planet. It does not decompose easily and pollutes land and water. To help the environment, I have started reducing plastic use at home.First, we carry cloth or jute bags while shopping instead of using plastic bags. We also reuse old containers and bottles for storage. I avoid buying items that are packed in too much plastic, like snacks or toys with plastic covers.At home, we use metal water bottles and glass jars. I pack my lunch in a steel tiffin box, not in plastic wraps. I also told my family not to use plastic straws or spoons during parties. Instead, we use reusable items.We have a separate bin for plastic waste, and we send it for recycling. Whenever I get a plastic item, I think twice before throwing it away.Every small step counts. By reducing plastic at home, I am trying to make a difference. If we all do our part, we can save the Earth!
