This Plastic Bag Free Day, we’re not staying silent. Plastic is killing our oceans — and the sea turtles are paying the price.

To a turtle, a floating plastic bag looks just like a jellyfish. One bite, and it can block their stomach, cause pain, or even kill them. This isn’t rare — it’s happening every single day.

But we can stop it.

Plastic bags are used for minutes but stay in our environment for hundreds of years. They drift through oceans, choking marine life and destroying habitats. Over 1 million sea animals — including turtles — die each year because of plastic waste.

So what do we do? We fight back.

• Say NO to plastic bags

• Carry reusable bags — always

• Speak up, clean up, and show up

• Push for plastic bans and better laws

The turtles can’t speak. But we can.
