Plastic is everywhere. From our water bottles to our straws, to our shopping bags, we use it everyday. Did you know that plastic takes hundreds of years to break down? Which means every plastic item we throw away can still be around when our great-grand kids are alive.
If each one of us stops using plastic, we would be helping our planet in a big way. Plastic pollutes our oceans, harms animals and even gets in the food we eat  If we do our bit by using cloth bags, steel bottles, etc. these things are better and do not hurt nature.
This also helps something called as the Sustainability development goals. These are big goals made by smart people to make the world a better place. Even though I am just 12 years old, I can help. And you can too! Small actions can make a big difference. Let us try to stop using plastic - so the next time you go shopping, bring your own bag or get your own bottle to drink water. Let us say yes to a healthy earth.
