For National Technology Day, I created a simple water filter using a plastic bottle, cotton, sand, gravel, and activated charcoal. Each layer plays a role in cleaning dirty water—cotton traps large particles, sand filters fine debris, and charcoal removes odour and chemicals. I tested it by pouring muddy water through the setup and observed how much clearer the water became. This hands-on activity helped me understand water purification and how basic science can solve real-world problems.
