What is Wellness?
Wellness means taking care of our body and mind. When we are well, we feel strong, happy, and ready to learn and play. Good wellness helps us grow up healthy.
1. Eat Healthy Foods
Eating fruits, vegetables, grains, and drinking plenty of water helps our body stay strong. Avoid too much junk food like chips and sweets.
2. Get Exercise
Running, walking, dancing, and playing games outside keep our bodies fit. Exercise also makes us feel happy and full of energy.
3. Sleep Well
Children need 8–10 hours of sleep each night. A good night’s sleep helps us focus in school and grow properly.
4. Stay Clean
We must brush our teeth, take baths, and wash our hands regularly to stay clean and stop germs from making us sick.
5. Take Care of Our Feelings
It’s okay to feel sad or angry sometimes. Talking to a parent, teacher, or friend can help. Smiling, playing, and helping others make us feel good inside.
Fun Tips for Wellness
Drink lots of water every day.
Laugh and smile often.
Play outside in the fresh air.
Be kind to yourself
Wellness is important for everyone. When we eat well, stay active, sleep enough, and care for our feelings, we feel our best. Let’s all practice good wellness every day!
