National Technology Day, celebrated annually on May 11th, commemorates India's achievements in science and technology, particularly the successful nuclear tests at Pokhran in 1998. The day recognizes the contributions of Indian scientists, engineers, and innovators who have propelled the nation's technological advancement. It also serves as a reminder of India's journey toward self-reliance and scientific excellence.

The day was declared by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to acknowledge the contributions of the scientists and engineers involved in the Pokhran-II nuclear tests in 1998, which made India a nuclear power. Since 1999, the Technology Development Board (TDB) has organized various events and celebrations to highlight technological achievements and encourage innovation.

National Technology Day is a day to celebrate India's achievements in science and technology, to inspire future generations, and to reaffirm the nation's commitment to scientific and technological excellence. πŸ’»πŸ’»πŸ‘©πŸΌ‍πŸ’»πŸ‘©πŸΌ‍πŸ’»
