The mammoth, a giant of the Ice Age, ruled the frozen tundras with its sheer size and resilience. These massive, elephant-like creatures roamed in herds, using their long, curved tusks to dig through snow in search of food. Covered in thick fur and a layer of fat, they were perfectly adapted to the harsh, glacial climates. Mammoths played a crucial role in their ecosystems, shaping landscapes and supporting other species. However, as the Ice Age ended and human hunting increased, they gradually disappeared. Though extinct, their legacy lives on in fossils, frozen remains, and scientific efforts to bring them back.
