Once, there was a girl named Elsa. She loved books. She often asked her parents for a book, but got scolding. One day her father told her that he had got his job somewhere. He said, “As you know, your mother goes out to play cards, your elder brother goes to school and you have to stay home alone from today. I am getting late. It’s time for me to go.” Saying this, he rushed out. Her mother was leaving and her elder brother was waiting at his bus stop for school bus. As soon as her mother left, she went for a walk. Suddenly, she saw a public library and went inside. She met Ms. Jennie over there. Ms. Jennie asked her what she wanted. Elsa answered that she was looking for books as she was fond of them. As Ms. Jennie was a kind person, she helped Elsa with a number of options. She took Elsa to the second last shelf in the corner of the library having a large number of children’s books. Elsa opted a book named Matilda by Roald Dahl. She sat in a cozy corner of the library on a couch for hours and hours. She finished it and went home. She was excited to read this book as the character Matilda was similar to her. This was an excitement for her to find a character that matched her personality. She happily stumbled home. This went on for weeks and weeks till the time Elsa finished reading all the books that Ms. Jennie had shared with her.

She asked Ms. Jennie, “What to do now?” Ms. Jennie answered, “You can take any other book of your choice. Elsa asked for a famous book. Ms. Jennie gave her the most popular book and said “You can even borrow the books from the library for two weeks.” Elsa was glad to hear her words as she could now read the books by taking them to home. She borrowed many books one after another. Now she was able to read magazines and newspapers lying here and there in her house as she became a book worm. Her favourite author was Roald Dahl. Her favourite book was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory authored by him. Her parents saw her reading books and they liked this great hobby of their little Elsa which they earlier ignored. They arranged a Nany who used to take her to the public library.

One day, she was getting bored, she looked around the house here and there, she saw her teddy Snowflake under the couch and remembered losing it, gifted by her best friend on her birthday when she turned three. Elsa ran towards it and picked it up with a joyful smile on her face. Then she played with it and finished her book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She could now read the books from library and play with her favourite Snowflake. As she was tired, she took a nap thereafter.
