On February 13th, the Interact Club brought life to Pathways with vibrant shades of blue, purple, orange, and pink in honor of CanSupport, an organization dedicated to aiding, supporting, and raising awareness for cancer patients.
At lunchtime, we garnered the attention of the school community by passing out flyers, chanting slogans and laying out colors in which they could dip their hands to leave handprints on chart paper. This was not only a lasting tribute to the Interact Club 2025-26 but also a heartfelt gesture for cancer patients.
Each color represented a different type of cancer - pink for breast cancer, orange for leukemia, blue for colon cancer, and purple for pancreatic cancer. Many people are aware that cancer is a life-threatening disease, only a handful understand the different types of it and the immense struggles patients have to endure.
Imagine having to live with an incurable disease. It would certainly instill a sense of panic and uncertainty in the minds of the patients. Through this event we hoped to not only brighten their day but also to remind them that the entire Pathways community is here to support them.
This activity effectively combined creativity and collaboration, raising awareness and sparking meaningful conversations about the cause. Over 100 students from our school participated in this event raising awareness for CanSupport.
