Supports health and nutrition: UNICEF supports child health and nutrition, including HIV prevention and treatment for mothers and babies.

Supports education: UNICEF supports quality education and skill building.

Supports water and sanitation: UNICEF supports safe water and sanitation.

UNICEF was established in 1946 by the United Nations General Assembly to provide emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. UNICEF is active in over 190 countries and territories.
