The 10th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) is to reduce inequality within and among countries:

Inequality can be based on many factors, including:

Age, Gender, Disability, Race or ethnicity, Sexual orientation, Migratory status, Religion, and Economic status.

Some examples of inequality include:

Lack of access to healthcare for women and children

Lack of opportunities and discrimination for older people, migrants, and refugees

Some targets of the 10th SDG include:

Ensuring that the poorest 40% of the population in every country see more rapid income growth than the national average

Improving the regulation and monitoring of global financial markets and institutions

Adopting policies to achieve greater equality, such as fiscal, wage, and social protection policies

Some ways to help reduce inequality include:

Voting registration education for underprivileged groups and minorities

Supporting migrants and refugees in your community

Volunteering at local shelters, orphanages, or minority community centers

Supporting inclusive companies
