Universal education
By 2030, all children should complete free, quality primary and secondary education.
Early childhood education
By 2030, all children should have access to quality early childhood education.
Vocational training
By 2030, all people should have access to affordable and quality technical and vocational training.
Literacy and numeracy
By 2030, all youth and a large portion of adults should be able to read and do basic math.
Gender equality
By 2030, there should be equal access to education for all, regardless of gender.
Some challenges to achieving SDG 4 include: Lack of trained teachers, Inadequate school facilities, Socioeconomic disparities, Gender inequalities, and Location-based disparities.
