When the sky went dark and hope was grim,

Captain Singh stepped ahead and let the war begin,

The pride and pain in the start,

Fueled devotion for the country in his heart.

Through the blasts he stood on the ground,

When others feared, his strength was found,

Every bullet he shot, he overcame his fear,

For, only nation’s freedom was near.

We stand today because he stood tall,

If it weren’t him, we all would fall,

For all the things you bore, we shall sing you a song,

We are proud of you Captain and will be for lifelong.

The Gallantry award which he claims,

It was his true spirit that deserves the name,

Captain Singh, you shall be remembered,

We salute to you; you will always be honored.
