As an 8th-grade student, I strongly oppose platforms like GoSharpener that place the burden of environmental and social responsibility on students. It is frustrating to see how we are constantly told to conserve resources, while those who are actually responsible for large-scale waste — politicians, businessmen, industrialists, and even celebrities — continue their irresponsible practices without consequence.

Take, for example, luxury hotels with extravagant bathtubs in every room or swimming pools in private mansions of the wealthy. These facilities waste enormous amounts of water, yet platforms like GoSharpener ask students to take small measures, such as using a bucket for bathing. Why aren't the people in power — those who have the ability to make a real impact — held accountable first?

This platform, in my view, is designed to distract students from real issues by making them feel responsible for problems created by those who should know better. Instead of brainwashing students into believing they must lead the charge on global conservation efforts, we should be calling for these politicians, business magnates, and celebrities to clean up their act. They are the ones who should be showcasing their responsibility, not us students who are still in the process of learning and growing.

If platforms like this exist, they should be aimed at adults, especially those in positions of power, and hold them accountable for their wasteful practices. Let them demonstrate what it means to be responsible global citizens before expecting students to follow suit.

In conclusion, the burden of solving the world's problems should not rest solely on the shoulders of children. It is high time the people at the top set a real example. Let’s create websites for politicians and the wealthy to showcase their impact first, and only then should they ask us to follow.
