The concept of freedom is subject to historical and societal evolution. During nationalist movements, it meant being free from the oppressive chains of foreign rule. Now, it signifies being free from discrimination, such as denying education to girls, stereotypes that limit career choices for the poor, and prejudice against religions. Soon, the meaning may be "free access to the internet"! Freedom from violence is another aspect that countries worldwide ponder upon.

As we continue our journey as an independent India, we must understand that freedom doesn't require protests or rallies. All it needs is a leader determined to bring peace to the country. "There are no dangerous weapons; there are only dangerous men." - Robert A. Heinlein. Violence has repeatedly slaughtered joy many times. Hatred towards a specific group has always been the cause of some of the biggest fights, and it still exists in a few pockets of the world.

As future leaders, doctors, engineers, law enforcers, celebrities, etc., we must respect people from all backgrounds, especially Indians, for we have seen and lived with a diverse group of people. Carrying on the legacy of our beloved freedom fighters, we must continue to accept all genders, castes, and religions and be ready to hold hands for a better future!
