BIO- ENZYME AS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL SOLUTION FROM ORGANIC WASTE

Numerous cleaning products contain chemicals that can be harmful to humans, animals, and plants in
the environment if ingested. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) categorizes many of these
chemicals as "volatile organic compounds," which can cause harm in various ways. Dishwasher
detergents, for instance, contain up to 40% ammonia, nitrogen, and phosphorous, which are all volatile
organic compounds. This article aims to show that bio-enzymes are a viable alternative to the harmful
cleaning products currently available. Bio-enzymes are a type of liquid mixture that contains natural
enzymes and can be used to clean different surfaces in households. Project Nesara produces these bio-
enzymes by fermenting a specific ratio of fruit waste with sugar. The primary objective of this research
is to reduce the number of pollutants that enter the ecosystem by using bio-enzymes, thereby protecting
the environment. This project contributes to society's shift towards a sustainable, chemical-free
environment. Furthermore, Project Nesara collaborates with non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
and creates employment opportunities for the underprivileged.

Indian culture being multi-linguistic also has the uniqueness of a rich tradition of implementing natural
products for daily use. With the present era having the advancement of technology and science, many
inventions have been made for our convenience and to improve the standard of living which in turn
has made us to forget the essence and benefits of natural products as we tend to like artificial products
due to its convenience, easy availability and attractive packaging. Most of us are unaware that these
artificial products are prepared with chemicals which are harmful to us and the eco-system as a whole.
News emanating such as frothing lake catching fire, low immunity and skin diseases, and sudden death
of person can all be related to the harmful effects of excessive chemical usage in our day-to-day life

he most prominent usage in our household is the cleaning agent which contains lots of toxic and
harmful elements. In order to replace all of these chemical and dangerous cleaning agents, Bio
Enzyme, also known as Trash Enzyme or Fruit Enzyme, a multipurpose, all-natural cleaner made from
waste or vegetable/fruit peels (often citrus), plays a significant role. Bio enzymes are natural cleaning

It is concluded that the enzymes are biological catalysts i.e. biocatalyst hence known as bio-enzymes which speed up
biochemical reactions in living organisms, useful in a wide range of commercially imported processes. Thus, the bio enzymes can
be used for various purposes since it is organic it won't have any side effects. Bio-enzymes helps to reduce some waste & turn into

a useful substance to the society which is economical and cheaply available and the end product can be completely useful. Bio-
enzymes act as a soil-stabilizing agent i.e. addition of bio-enzymes to soil maintains the moisture level of soil intern reducing

plasticity & shrinkage of soil. It is also concluded that the bio-enzymes maximizes the load-bearing capacity of the soil. There are
various applications of bio-enzymes such as to improve the consistency property of soil, to increase the CBR value of soil for
construction of road, dam, airport. It also increases the D.O. of the water and wastewater, to decrease the BOD & COD in the
wastewater. Hence it concludes that in the view of civil engineering the bio-enzymes can be effectively used.
