Did you know that there was another bird that was supposed to be the national bird of India? That is the Great Indian Bustard. It's critically endangered with less than 150 of them in the wild. 

The reason it was not made the national bird of India lies in its name. There's nothing wrong with it but people mistake it for another word that is offensive and insulting to say...

But I think this beautiful bird that belongs to our land should become the national bird of India so people take care of it and make sure it doesn't  go extinct!
