Hello everyone ! My name is Ishanvi and here's an article on why I think Biodiversity is important :
Biodiversity is the foundation of life on Earth. It maintains ecosystem stability, regulates the climate, cycles vital nutrients, and provides the essential resources—like food, clean water, and medicines—that sustain human survival and drive global economies.
It helps in the following ways:-
- Clean Air: Plants and forests absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.
- Fresh Water: Wetlands and forests filter pollutants out of water supplies.
- Food Security: Genetic variety protects livestock and crops from catastrophic diseases.
- Modern Medicine: Over half of all synthetic medicines originate from wild species.
- Job Creation: Tourism, farming, forestry, and fishing rely directly on nature.
In the end every species plays a unique role in maintaining the planetary life-support systems that provide our food, clean water, and stable climate so, protecting biodiversity is not just an environmental concern; it is a necessity for human survival.Safeguarding this natural variety is our best insurance policy against climate change, economic instability, and future ecological crises.
THANK YOU ....
Wishing you all a very HAPY INTERNATIONAL BIODIVERSITY DAY !!
