Religion is meant to guide people toward peace, kindness, and humanity. People naturally believe deeply in their own religion because it is connected to their family, culture, and emotions. However, the problem begins when people force others to follow their beliefs and refuse to respect other religions.
Many people start commenting on what is “right” or “wrong” according to their religion and try to teach others their own way of thinking. For example, followers of Hinduism and Islam often disrespect each other instead of understanding one another. This mindset is also passed on to children, who grow up hearing biased opinions before they can form their own views.
People sometimes become so deeply involved in religious differences that they ignore important aspects of life such as humanity, peace, education, and emotional understanding. Religious hatred has also become one of the reasons behind conflicts and wars around the world.
Respecting another religion does not weaken our own faith. Every religion teaches peace and compassion. Society can become more united if people focus on humanity first and learn to respect differences instead of fighting over them.
