Vandana Shiva is an Indian environmental activist who mostly focuses on farming, seeds, and protecting biodiversity. She believes farming should stay close to nature and not become fully dependent on chemicals and big companies. She started the Navdanya movement, which helps farmers save traditional seeds and practice organic farming. Basically, she supports the idea that nature already has its own system—we just need to not mess it up too much. She has also spoken a lot about how modern farming methods can damage soil over time. Some people agree with her strongly, some don’t fully, but either way, she has definitely made people think more about what we eat and where our food actually comes from.
