A lion was once sleeping when a small mouse accidentally ran across his nose. The lion caught the mouse and was about to crush it, but the mouse pleaded for mercy, promising to repay the favor one day. Amused by the idea that a tiny creature could help him, the lion laughed and let the mouse go.
A few days later, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared in despair, but the mouse heard him and quickly gnawed through the ropes with its sharp teeth, setting the lion free. The lion realized that even a small friend can be a great helper.
Moral: No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
