Steps to Make Bio Enzyme (at Home)
Materials Needed
Citrus fruit peels (orange, lemon, pineapple, etc.)
Jaggery (or brown sugar)
Water
A plastic container with a loose lid
Step-by-Step Process
Prepare the container
Take a clean plastic bottle or jar. Leave some empty space for gases formed during fermentation.
Add jaggery and water
Pour water into the container and add jaggery. Stir well until the jaggery dissolves.
Add fruit peels
Cut the fruit peels into small pieces and add them to the mixture.
Maintain the ratio
Use the ratio 1 : 3 : 10
1 part jaggery
3 parts fruit peels
10 parts water
Close the lid loosely
Do not tighten the lid completely. Gases will form during fermentation.
Fermentation period
Keep the container in a cool, dry place for 3 months.
Open the lid once daily for the first 15–20 days to release gas.
Strain the liquid
After 3 months, strain the liquid and store it in a clean bottle. The bio enzyme is ready to use.
