Kho-Kho is a popular traditional Indian outdoor game. It is played between two teams of 12 players, but only 9 players from each team play on the field at a time. The game needs speed, agility, teamwork, and presence of mind.

The game is played on a rectangular ground. One team sits or kneels in a row in the middle, while players of the other team run to avoid being touched. The chasing team tries to tag the runners by touching them or by giving a “Kho” to a teammate to continue the chase.

A Kho-Kho match has two innings, and each inning has chasing and defending turns. The team that tags more opponents wins the match.

Kho-Kho helps in improving physical fitness, quick decision-making, and team spirit. It is widely played in schools and competitions across India.
