Road safety means following rules and being careful on roads to prevent accidents. Every year, many people lose their lives because of road accidents. Most accidents happen due to carelessness, speeding, and not following traffic rules. Therefore, road safety is very important for everyone.

Pedestrians should always walk on the footpath and cross the road at zebra crossings. They should look right, left, and right again before crossing the road. Children should never play on roads.

Drivers must follow traffic signals, drive within speed limits, and never use mobile phones while driving. Wearing seat belts and helmets is compulsory as it saves lives. Two-wheelers should always wear helmets, and car passengers should wear seat belts.

Cyclists should ride on the left side of the road and use reflectors at night. Traffic rules are made for our safety, not to trouble us. If everyone follows these rules honestly, many accidents can be avoided.
