Sulphur is a yellow non-metal represented by S. It has a distinct smell when combined with hydrogen as hydrogen sulphide (H₂S).

Sulphur is used in making sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄), fertilizers, rubber, and medicines. It also helps in protein formation in living organisms.
