Sustainable Earth
By Shreya Mishra, Class 7
A sustainable earth means taking care of our planet so that people living today and in the future can live a healthy life. Our Earth gives us air, water, food, forests, and many natural resources. If we use these resources wisely, the Earth will remain safe and beautiful.
Today, pollution, deforestation, climate change, and waste are harming our planet. Cutting too many trees reduces oxygen and increases global warming. Pollution of air and water causes diseases to humans and animals. Plastic waste takes hundreds of years to decompose and harms wildlife.
To make our Earth sustainable, we should save natural resources. We must plant more trees, save water, and reduce the use of plastic. Using renewable energy like solar and wind energy helps reduce pollution. We should follow the 3 Rs – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle in our daily life.
Students also play an important role in protecting the Earth. We can switch off lights when not needed, use bicycles instead of vehicles, and spread awareness about protecting nature. Small steps taken by everyone can bring big changes.
In conclusion, a sustainable earth is the need of the hour. It is our duty to protect the planet and make it a better place for future generations.
