Global Recycling Day is celebrated every year on March 18th by the Global Recycling Foundation to promote the importance of recycling and sustainable practices. Global Recycling Day encourages everyone to embrace the opportunity to recycle and work towards a sustainable future. It is significant to highlight the people, places, and activities helping to create an environmentally stable planet for all.

To inspire you all to take initiative to help our mother earth and make learning fun and easy, Go Sharpener came up with the theme of "Creative Innovation". This year's theme emphasizes the need for creativity and innovative thinking to effectively reduce, reuse, and recycle our waste. We need to think outside the box and find new ways to make recycling a part of our daily lives.

Significance of Global Recycling Day:

Global Recycling Day is important as it draws attention to the growing problem of waste and pollution and encourages people to take action to reduce their environmental impact. This day provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the benefits of recycling and inspire individuals, businesses, and governments to adopt eco-friendly practices.

Aaradhya Pareek from Delhi World Public School portrayed her craft work when she made a pen stand with a newspaper justifying the theme of Global Recycling Day.

Veer from New Rainbow Public School made the planting pot with the waste plastic bottle, as we know that plastic is the default item found in trash or landfills. Instead of throwing them, we can use them for planting and decorating your garden.

Anwesha Bhola from Global Edge School showcased her art with the clear message, remember to Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle for sustainable living.

Devyakshi from The Global Edge School helped others through her artwork while spreading the wonderful message of the importance of recycling by creating a reusable pen holder.

Aashna Dharmani from St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School made a lampstand with a plastic bottle. We acknowledge how she gave the message to reduce waste plastic creatively.

It was a great response indeed but as we said before, our work has just begun. Think now and start working towards achieving sustainable goals through your good work and implement them in your daily life. Stay tuned for the next blog that will cover World Sparrow Day.
