🌈 1. Introduction

The color wheel is a circular chart that shows the relationship between different colors. It was first created by Sir Isaac Newton in the 17th century after studying how light splits into a spectrum.Artists and designers use it to understand how colors mix, match, and contrast.

🔺 2. Primary Colors

The three basic colors: Red, Blue, and Yellow.

They cannot be made by mixing other colors.

All other colors are created from these three.

🟢 3. Secondary Colors

Formed by mixing two primary colors in equal amounts:

Red + Yellow = Orange

Blue + Yellow = Green

Red + Blue = Violet (Purple)

These sit between the primary colors on the wheel.

🟣 4. Tertiary Colors

Made by mixing a primary color with a neighboring secondary color.Examples:Red-Orange, Yellow-Orange, Yellow-Green, Blue-Green, Blue-Violet, Red-Violet.

These give more shades and variety in artworks.

☀️ 5. Warm and Cool Colors

Warm colors: Red, Orange, Yellow — create feelings of energy, warmth, and excitement.

Cool colors: Blue, Green, Violet — create calmness, peace, and relaxation.Warm colors appear to move forward; cool colors seem to recede in art.

💫 6. Complementary Colors

These are opposite each other on the color wheel.

Examples: Red–Green, Blue–Orange, Yellow–Purple.

When placed side by side, they create strong contrast and make each other stand out.
