World Wildlife Day takes place every year on 3 March. It exists to celebrate all the world’s wild animals and plants in addition to the contribution they make to our lives and the health of the planet. This day also focuses on us to make the urgent need to call off the fight against the human-induced reduction of species and numerous wildlife crimes. World Wildlife Day History: Thailand proposed World Wildlife Day in the General Assembly of the United Nations on December 20, 2013, to create awareness among people about World’s Wild animals and plants. The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared March 3, at its 68th session the day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora(CITES). To draw attention towards the conservation of species of wild animals and plants on this World Wildlife Day, Go Sharpener came up with the theme of “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration” by using the hashtag #ChiefAnimalOfficer and #WorldWildlifeDay.
