Subhash Chandra Bose, famously known as Netaji, played a pivotal role in India's struggle for independence, particularly through his formation of the Indian National Army (INA). Dissatisfied with the non-violent approach of the Indian National Congress, Bose sought a more direct path to freedom, even aligning with the Axis powers during World War II to achieve his goals. His famous slogan, "Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom!", inspired countless Indians, and his call to "Dilli Chalo" (Onward to Delhi) rallied the INA towards the fight against British rule. Though his wartime alliances remain controversial, Bose's contribution to India's freedom movement is undeniable, particularly his leadership in galvanizing support and raising an army dedicated to liberating India.
