I was never a fan of self-help books; I thought they were akin to real-life lectures without any engaging narratives.
However, one time, my uncle gave me a copy of "The Power of your subconscious mind" by Joseph Murphy and since then, everything has changed.
Having the book with me, I felt the urge to read it, partly because my uncle would ask about my progress, and I couldn't lie convincingly enough to avoid getting caught :D
But once I started reading, the pressure eased. I began with just 5 pages a day, slowly increasing, and soon discovered how powerful this book was in changing my perspective.
The carefully chosen words, powerful quotes, and clear lessons strengthened my beliefs.
I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with negative thoughts, trying to stay positive and foster self-belief.
Which self-help book first inspired you to start reading?
